Genesis at the Crossroad’s Instrument-Donation Program

Our World . . .One Peace at a Time Exhibition en route to Baghdad
Students at multiple public and private schools, ethnically diverse community centers, Girl Scout troops and refugee youth programs in the Chicago area have had the opportunity to both fashion a quilting square with their own creative expressions for peace in the world and to write about their thoughts while doing so. Professional quilt artists donated all of the labor to professionally transform these creations into individual quilts for Iraqi children abroad.
- Chicago Children’s Museum, May 1- June 26, 2007
- The Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles, September- November 2007
- To other US children’s museums across the country prior to shipment to Baghdad through 2008.
- Funds permitting, these quilt workshops will continue indefinitely at each destination with designated war-torn country recipients (Darfur, The Congo, Beirut...) to be chosen by each individual American community.
